The Greenwood-Slidell Volunteer Fire Department is located in the far northeast corner of Wise County, Texas. We serve four communities: Greenwood, Slidell, Allison, and Sycamore, an area of 190 square miles and a population estimated at 5,000 and growing. Our fire district is bordered by three different counties (Cooke, Montague and Denton) which we provide mutual aid to. Our fire department is an all-volunteer organization.
